Death of a Victorian Gentleman
London, 1863:
A gentleman. A pickpocket. An unlikely alliance.
When a chance encounter brings together two men from opposite worlds, mistrust and resentment run deep. Lloyd Webster, the privileged son of a baronet, is an idealist who values his reputation. Ezra Taylor, a streetwise pickpocket, knows only how to fight for survival. But when they are falsely accused of a crime, the two must learn to rely on one another in ways neither could have anticipated.
Their search for the truth uncovers a scandal that threatens to shake the very foundations of Victorian society.
With danger looming, they not only have to overcome their differences but also confront their pasts—and secrets they would prefer to keep hidden.
Set in the shadowy streets and gaslit parlours of Victorian London,
Death of a Victorian Gentleman is a gripping tale of mystery, courage, and a friendship that defies the conventions of its time.

Author's Story

Tay R. Dornie is a writer of historical fiction, bringing the past to life in vivid descriptions and compelling stories.
Tay R. Dornie comes from a bilingual English and German background. Her love of literature began in childhood. She began writing poetry and short stories in her youth. Over time, she developed a profound interest in the Victorian era, which has since become the foundation of her work in historical fiction.
When not writing, she runs a traditional British-style teashop with a small, welcoming tearoom in Franconia, Southern Germany—where she is often found surrounded by the scent of Earl Grey, the comfort of freshly baked scones with clotted cream, and just a touch of London fog.
